I recently announced that I was bringing back the Book of Questions series in which I answer questions from the 1987 and 2013 Book of Questions by Gregory Stock PH.D! If you’d like to find out more about this series or catch up on posts from the series that you’ve missed then please click here!
In this post I’m going to be answering question 46 from the 2013 Book of Questions!
The question is…
Would you be happier with more control over what happens in your life or more control over your response to what happens? How could you gain more such control?
I’d first of all just like to point out that I don’t agree with the last part of the question, it doesn’t sound right so I just want to make it clear that it is written like that in the book!
I think I’d be happier if I had more control over my response to what happens. If I could control what happens in my life then by extension I’d be messing with other people’s lives and I don’t think that’d be good.
If I could better control my responses so that no matter what I can deal with it then I think that’d be good.
I’ve been working through a lot of stuff lately and I do feel as though that is making me a stronger person so I think that the way to gain control like that is to work through the issues, learn from them and grow stronger. I could be wrong though, I’m no expert, that’s just my opinion!
