It’s My Birthday!

It’s 0:01 on the 20th June 2013, 1 minute into my 22nd Birthday.

I don’t feel any older.

I treat birthdays like New Year.
Another year older another year wiser, fresh start and all that.

I normally write a blog post talking about the year I’ve had and reviewing the highlights of it month by month but I’m not going to do that this year.

I just want to look at the things I learnt this year instead.

This year I really did learn that the only person I can truly depend on is myself. I also learnt that in times of crisis people reveal their true colours and the ones you thought you could depend on you can’t.

You can’t trust anyone; even people you’ve known for years and were once really close to will turn on you. But sometimes it’s for the best because it shows how strong you really are inside.

Family is important.

I realised that life isn’t forever and sadly again this year more of my friends died.

Looking back over this year I think it’s a bloody miracle I made it to 22 if I’m being perfectly honest.

It’s been one of the hardest years I’ve ever had but on reflection I think that it really has made me a stronger person.

A big positive from this year though I’ve become a lot closer with you lot reading this right now and I feel like its the start of something really beautiful and I can’t wait to see what this year brings!

I’m going to start saying yes to a lot more things this year too!

Yes to trying new things.
Yes to meeting new people.
Yes to going to new places.
Yes to life.

Yes to going to Alton Towers today? Yes!

So Happy New Year to myself and all my fellow Gemini’s with birthdays today! And Happy New Year to you even if it isn’t your birthday!

Take care of yourselves I love you all!
