This is my review of headspace Day Four, if you don’t know what Headspace is or why I’m reviewing it then please click here to read my introduction post and then click the links at the bottom of that page to read my reviews of Days One, Two and Three.
You may remember from my review of Day Three that I said I wasn’t going to use the app to help me sleep anymore as although it did help me to relax it didn’t help me sleep. Although I remind you all once again that the app doesn’t promise to help you sleep it was I that said I was going to try it for that purpose.
Anyway a strange thing happened today.
I had a few really big panic attacks in quick succession. It wasn’t the pleasantest of experiences however its one I’m very used to. Normally when I have a panic attack I’ll listen to some of my favourite music and just try and chill out that way.
Today I hit play on my phone expecting music to play and Headspace Day Four started playing..
It was brilliant, not only did it calm me down and stop me having yet another panic attack but it also helped me slow my mind down and rationalise my thoughts enough to realise that I was going to be okay.
I don’t mean to say I’ve found a miracle cure for panic attacks or anything but today it really did help me. Taking that ten minutes out of my day to just relax and focus on my self was really good.
I’ve said it before and I’m sure I’ll say it again, I love this app it’s brilliant.
It’s just breathing exercises there’s no weird meditation, you don’t have to stand on your head or pretend you’re a tree you just listen and breathe. The only way you’d struggle with this app is if you’re not very good at multitasking and well if you can’t breathe and listen to things at the same time you’re probably struggling to read this. *pause for breath*
Anyway jokes aside this is a brilliant app it really is and I really can’t wait to try Day Five out!
Have you been trying this app out with me, what do you think? Do you like it? Comment down below or tweet me @MissCharlotteEm and let me know! xo
