In this post I’m going to be answering question 26 from the 2013 Book of Questions!
The question is…
You meet somebody at a party and absolutely know that if you talk to him, he’ll make you tens of millions of dollars, but after 2 years you’ll go bankrupt and have to scramble to get back on your feet. Would you start the conversation? Assume that if you do, your knowledge of what’s in store for you will vanish.
No I wouldn’t, if I’m going to make tens of millions of dollars I want to do it my own way on my own terms.
Plus what would be the point in this? I’d have a fun 2 years and then be in a worse position than I was in before I started, I’ve never experienced bankruptcy but I imagine it’s a thoroughly miserable time and something I’d definitely like to avoid.
